Lemony Avocado Sauce

Creamy avocado is blended with fresh lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper to create a silky, tangy plant-powered sauce.

  • 1 avocado
  • ½ cup filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed and peeled
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt or more, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


  • Add the flesh of the avocado, filtered water, lemon juice, garlic, sea salt, and pepper to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend on high for 2–3 minutes, or until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer to a glass jar and refrigerate until ready to serve the lentil cakes.
