What do you need and what do you need to leave behind?

No recipes today, but I do have a little secondhand food for thought to share with you all...

Last Friday my yoga instructor repeated the above question at the start and end of class; she asked us to think deeply and consider the things that we need and the things that we need to leave behind in our lives. It got me thinking about the process of defining the things in my life that serve me and the things that are a disservice to me. It's easy and it's comfortable to hold onto the things that once served us in order to stay right where we are. However, the positive changes we strive for tend to lie within the process of ridding ourselves of the things that hold us back.

Some things I need to leave behind are |1| my fear of discomfort |2| my fear of change |3| fear in general |4| my "should haves" and |5| my worries about things I cannot control. What are the things that you need to leave behind?

Are you happy

Something we all need to consider in the middle of and later in our lives.
