This fresh & frothy pineapple cilantro smoothie is a simple and refreshing blend of frozen bananas, fresh pineapple, kale, cilantro, coconut milk, and a bit of ice (to up the froth-factor). Its flavors lean toward summer, and I love anything with sunshiny notes during this chilly, dark time of year. Like a ray of green sunshine, it'll quell the darkest shades of winter blue.
Plus, it offers an abundance of vitamin c, manganese, vitamin k, vitamin a, B6, and potassium thanks to the variety of plant-powered goodness.
To make it, simply toss all ingredients into a high-powered blender, blend for a quick minute or two, pour into a glass, and gulp it down. I love that this smoothie's rich and creamy notes (thanks, banana) are balanced by the brightness of the pineapple and cilantro. There's just something so incredibly refreshing about it, and it's currently my favorite smoothie.

Fresh & Frothy Pineapple-Cilantro Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup fresh pineapple
- 1 cup fresh kale
- ½ cup coconut or almond milk (I use coconut milk to add a tropical note)
- ¼ cup cilantro
- 3-5 ice cubes (to add frothiness)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until smooth.
- Pour into a glass.
- Serve immediately.
